The Dornbluths decided to build their watches from the ground up. They started with the caliber, that they sketched out, and perfected over time by building and testing prototypes. Case and dials came next.

And they nailed it. These watches are a throwback to Dieter's time, when Herr Dornbluth senior was learning watchmaking as a teen. Dirk, the son, brought the latest materials and "new" German school of design to bear on the watches. And, of course, the Internet was Dirk's idea. These masterpieces have attracted attention from web savvy watch cognoscenti, and are now finding their way into traditional distribution.
