Until
2000, Minerva was a small family owned watch firm,
making only about 1000 pieces per year that featured
their own Caliber 48 and 49 movements. The Pythagore
and Palladio models are well made and reasonably
priced; but more importantly, when you wear one
of these watches you are connected to the most noble
elements of the Swiss watch making tradition - care
and craft. The company was sold to an Italian conglomerate
in 2000. Buy any Pythagore piece that you find from
Minerva prior to the sale of the company!
