Mauboussin is the last of the great, independent French jewelers. I have seen some amazing jewelry/art pieces from Mauboussin over the years... most particularly a picture frame which was completely encrusted in diamonds and sapphires. It probably sounds tacky, but it was actually very beautifully done.

Mauboussin has been creating watches for less time than many of their jewelry treasures, yet their watches are well known for their equally high quality standards. While Mauboussin is opening boutiques in major cities, the good news is that their watches can be had at deep discounts. There is a lot of bling in their lineup, but the watches are affordable and high-end.
