I was
watching Dave Matthews Band in Central Park on TV
recently and noticed the sax player was wearing
the 53mm Airman 7. What a watch! It's the first
time I see someone wearing one versus simply inspecting
one at a dealer. The Glycine Airman goes back to
1953, and was a popular watch among the air corps
in the Vietnam War era. Glycine watches are mostly
large with some degree of military styling. My favorite
Glycine watch model is the Eugene Meylan, which
is a cushion case model with 1930s styling and a
silver and orange dial.
