Gerald Genta rose to prominence as a designer for Audemars Piguet, where he conceived the legendary Royal Oak watch. He followed that up with designing the Patek Philippe Nautilus. For many years, Gerald Genta ran his eponymous Swiss brand. However, since the early 2000s, the brand was sold and Mr. Genta is no longer associated with the "Gerald Genta" brand. The Gerald Genta Arena model is thoroughly modern and sporty - a great contemporary watch. While under Mr. Genta's direction, the brand produced some truly eccentric and complicated grand complication pieces which still sell for mucho dinero.
